I have been a part of the team at Michael Armstrong Law since 2017. I have over 20 years of experience advocating for people with special needs, particularly those with intellectual and development disabilities. After several years as a stay-at-home mother of special needs children, my passion for advocacy led me to the University of New Mexico School of Law where I interned with the Arc’s National Center on Criminal Justice and Disability. I received the Award Recognizing Excellence in International Law and Comparative Law, having also spent time in Uganda, Africa performing relief work for impoverished communities. I am a member of the Arc of New Mexico’s Disability Response Team, which is comprised of attorneys, police officers, and victim service providers, to assist those with intellectual and developmental disabilities impacted by the criminal justice system.
